All-Star Training Program
For over 10 years, VA Runner has been educating the running and walking community
on proper footwear and biomechanics. Through the VA Runner All-Star Training Program we
use our experience and knowledge to enhance the training and overall fitness of runners and
walkers here in our community.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SPRING 2010 VA RUNNER ALL-STARS!!!!
“Amazing!! Flexible training schedules. Supportive coaches who were with me LITERALLY every step of the way. It was my first half marathon, but definitely not my last!!” — Tammy R.
“I went through the VA Runner All-Star Training program for the 2010 Marine Corps Half Marathon; it was a fantastic experience. The trainers are truly dedicated and sacrifice their own goals to get us through; they also give advice on nutrition and injury prevention. The training itself is gradual and is tailored for runners of all experience levels, especially those of us who never ran more than a couple of miles. Everyone is supportive and a lot of friendships have formed. It is awesome!” — Carol W.
“After running a slower MCHH in 2009 than 2008, and then turning 50 years old in 2010, I was wondering if I was just starting a long downhill slide, in terms of physical fitness. Thanks to your coaching, I learned that that was not true, and that with hard work and a little help from my friends, I could run faster. The training program was so much more than I expected. I worked harder than I have in years. And I broke 2 hours for the Half – a PR for me. Thanks VA Runner!” — Kathleen D.
“The VA Runner All-Star Training Program was just what I needed to help me develop a regular, 3-day a week running habit. The instructors were always totally positive, even with non-athletes, and always adapted group runs to the All-Star’s differing abilities. I started as an inactive, overweight 58-year-old. Within four months I was able to jog/walk to complete a 10K, a 17.75K, and the USMC half-marathon. Being a VA All-Star has been a great social and fitness experience for me. I highly recommend it!” — Tom N.
